Oceans Green Dry Cleaners Limited (company number 11699236) is the data controller for this website and for work you leave with us. This page says what we collect, why we use it, and how to ask us about a record.
Who we are
We trade as Oceans Green Dry Cleaners from Unit 2a, The Boathouse, Ocean Drive, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 1FT. You can write to us there, emailcontactus@oceansgreen.co.uk, or call01634 577066.
What we collect
The contact form asks for your name, email address, telephone number, and a message. You can also tick a service.
The collection form asks for your name, telephone number, address, postcode, preferred day, the service you need, and any notes. If a promotion is showing when you book, we store the offer you claimed with the request.
If you walk in or we collect a bag, we also keep what we need to do the job: the garments, stains or repairs you told us about, and how to reach you when the work is ready.
If you message us on WhatsApp, Meta processes that chat under WhatsApp's own terms. We only see the number and the messages you send us.
Why we use it
We use this information to:
- reply to an enquiry or confirm a collection day
- come to the address you gave, and bring the work back
- keep a copy of the request so we can refer to a booking
- take payment when the work is done
- keep the shop and the website running, including stopping spam on the forms
The lawful basis is the contract, or steps you ask us to take before a contract: you want a collection, a quote or a reply, and we need your details to do that. We keep enquiry copies so we can refer back to a job, which is a legitimate interest in running the shop. Where the law requires us to keep a record, for example for accounts, we keep it for that reason.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your details. We pass them to the companies that run parts of this service for us:
- Resend, which emails the shop when a form is submitted
- Sanity, which stores a copy of the enquiry
- Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks a form was filled by a person
- Vercel, which hosts the website
- Google, for Analytics on this site, for the map on the contact page, and for address lookup on the booking form when that lookup is switched on
Some of those companies are outside the UK. They process only what they need to provide their service. Card payments are taken at the counter or on return, not through this website.
Cookies and this website
We use Google Analytics to see which pages are used and which buttons people tap, such as call, WhatsApp and book. Google sets cookies to do that. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and Google publishes an opt-out for Analytics.
Cloudflare Turnstile may set a cookie when you use a form, so the check can run. Address lookup on the booking form sends what you type to Google so it can suggest an address.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry while the job is live, and afterwards so we can refer back to a booking. We do not keep it longer than we need for that. You can ask us to delete a record by emailingcontactus@oceansgreen.co.ukor calling01634 577066. We will say if the law requires us to keep part of it, for example an invoice.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the personal data we hold
- correct it if it is wrong
- delete it, or stop using it, where the law allows
- send a copy to you or to someone you name
To use those rights, emailcontactus@oceansgreen.co.ukor write to us at Unit 2a, The Boathouse, Ocean Drive, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 1FT. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can complain to theInformation Commissioner's Office.
